Long Night of Science 2019
It is well known that a healthy, fiber-rich diet improves our well-being and strengthens our intestinal flora. What is new is that the morning cereal also has a positive influence on the disease process of rheumatoid arthritis. The working group around Prof. Dr. Mario Zaiss explained at the Long Night of Science on 18.10.2019 about therapy-supporting muesli bars that have a positive effect on the microbiome, attracting many interested parties. Due to the fiber in muesli, useful bacteria multiply in the intestine and form short-chain fatty acids, which can reduce inflammatory processes.
